Barcode Scanner

Barcode scanner allows you to read barcodes on products in order to look up prices and reviews. You will also read Data Matrix and QR codes.

Barcode scanner does exactly what its developer description says:

It scans with back camera of your Android barcodes on products to get the prices and reviews. That way you will compare the prices of the same product in different stores what will help you to find the best match. What's more, you will useful data about each product: movies lenght, synopsis, books sequels, etc. We've noticed that it doesn't find articles sometimes and we guess it's due to those articles are not in Google's database.

It scans Data Matrix and QR codes and read their content: URLs, contact info, apps, sms, notes, etc. You can also create QR codes to send contacts, apps, bookmarks and other useful info.

Barcode Scanner is the only app developed by ZXing Team, an emerging group of developers. thanks to it they're being quite successful though.

Both barcode scanning and QR & Data Matrix scanning are several similar apps. However Barcode Scanner is one of our favorite thanks to its ease of use, good-looking interface and reliable performance. We sincerely recommend it.
